Ikwadise visitor management and attendance
Ikwadise is our own visitor management and employee attendance system. Visitors sign in on a tablet at reception; employees clock in and out by QR code, NFC tag or PIN. We designed it, we host it on hardware we own in Botswana, and we support it ourselves.
What it does
A paper visitor book records who said they came in. It cannot be searched, it cannot be audited, and anyone at the counter can read every name on the page. Ikwadise records the same thing properly.
Visitor sign-in
Visitors sign in at reception on a tablet: their name, who they are visiting, and a signature with a finger. Where the site needs one, they accept an NDA before they go in. Signing out closes the record, so you know who is still in the building.
Employee attendance
Employees clock in and out with a QR code, an NFC tag or a PIN, whichever suits the site. HR gets attendance without getting everything else.
One system, many organisations
Each organisation on Ikwadise sees only its own records. An HR-scoped admin role gives HR what it needs and nothing more. Licensing is enforced by the server, not by the honour system.
Hosted in Botswana
Ikwadise runs on a server Moderoot owns, in Botswana, not on rented capacity abroad. Under Botswana's Data Protection Act that makes your organisation the controller and Moderoot the processor, and your visitor records are not sitting in a data centre you cannot name. We supply the processing details your Data Protection Officer will ask for.
Where it came from
Ikwadise was built for a Gaborone law firm that needed a visitor book which could actually be audited, and has since been deployed by a Botswana security company at a client site. It is no longer specific to either industry.

Questions we get asked
4 ENTRIES
Q.01 Do visitors need to install an app?
No. Visitors sign in on the tablet at reception. Nothing is installed on their phones.
Q.02 Where is our data stored?
On a server Moderoot owns, in Botswana. Each organisation's records are kept apart from every other organisation's.
Q.03 Is it only for law firms?
No. It started at a law firm, but it suits any site with a reception counter or staff who clock in: offices, professional firms and security-managed sites among them.
Q.04 What do we need at reception?
A tablet at the counter and a network connection. We set it up and show reception how it works.
